Nyaungshwe, Myanmar. A friend asked basically "what the hell is that?" so I'll put forward my best guess. Usually if people are working on a structure like this, it's surrounded in a bamboo framework so they can climb up, and covered in nylon mesh for shade. I think the bamboo thatch is for shade.
