Non-screen users should skip this section. Of course, screen is an awesome program and what you should really do is rush to find out what screen is - if you've read this far in the HOWTO, you're enough of a Command Line Interface Junkie that you need to know.
In the past it's been possible to manipulate X terminal title bars from inside screen. Ultimately this doesn't make a great deal of sense though because screen is a terminal multiplexor, and each of the several terminals you have open from within screen could provide very different information. screen has its own hardstatus line which is a far superior place to put information.
