Kuang Si Waterfall is about an hour's drive outside Luang Prabang in a tightly packed minivan. The first thing you see as you take the path to the falls is a cage containing several bears that were rescued from poachers as cubs. A vendor nearby sells bananas that you can feed to the bears, who generally manage to eat them without the skin. Strange to watch bears eating bananas.

The falls are actually a series of waterfalls along a long path, leading up to the biggest.
